  1. OT: I just read that Dave Trampier passed away on the 24th in Carbondale, Illinois, apparently due to complications from cancer. Rumor had it that he was planning on appearing at a local convention next month as part of an effort to earn enough money to pay for his cancer medications. He was also apparently considering trying to sell some of his artwork for the same purpose. I just wanted to say how sad I am that he has passed thus untimely from this world. He will be missed, and he deserved so much better than he got from TSR and this life. RIP Mr. Trampier.

  2. That indeed is very sad news! I am unsure what happened with TSR/WOTC and why they never produced the Wormy compilation? Whatever it was it cause a great artists to leave the industry completely. At the end thee is word he was thinking of coming back and talking to another company about publishing it as his health deteriorated, but the end came before a new beginning, An immense loss as I wonder what could have been: what if his anger at betrayal led him to produce more art for other companies rather than his path to abandon it altogether? R.I.P. D.A.T.

  3. Even as a teen and not knowing anything about art, I loved his drawings in the Monster Maual. Lots of cool details, everyone told a story by itself. I found a few interesting articles:
