In the days before the oceans drank Atlantis

There is a Kickstarter for a Conan themed skirmish game with tons of great minis up now!

Damn I love me some Conan--and despite the expensive price of the game---my lovely wife agreed on this splurge so I am one lucky fellow by Crom!

Give it a look, the system seems pretty cool and my only worry would be the number of maps/scenarios may be limited out of the box...but I have enough Pathfinder map sheet/tiles that I think I can crank out my own. Maybe even convert other minis into the system for skirmishes...that could be cool.

  1. It does look rather grand, but I've sworn off Kickstarter this year (well, certainly, major investments like the Conan game).

I want to get all the stuff I threw money at last year before I start dipping my toe in the Kickstarter pool again ;)

    1. If it weren't both a skirmish game and Conan I'd be avoiding it as well--but it is chocolate and peanut butter combo that is irresistible to this knucklehead.

  2. All I'd want is the figures, but I can't afford to drop $100 on miniatures and a game I would otherwise have no interest in playing. So many great figures are coming out for boardgames, while RPGs are getting badly pre-pained, bendy-plastic crap.

    1. I know they have had requests to just sell the minis--and I hope they decide to do that because these do look like fantastic figs. I agree on the pre-painted crap. I tired some early on and they were so bad. I am far from a good minis painter--but damn the pre-paints are worse than just a quick base coat and ink wash job I do to get a critter or NPC on the table.
