Fix the fix

...and from adversity comes opportunity.

Let's consider this:

IQ18 Spell Shape Change remains as written in book

Caster changes form into a creature it has seen at least 3 times before. The Attributes of the caster remained unchanged but the special abilities, movement and AR of the creature are conferred (flight, fire breathing, webbing etc.). The caster assumes original form if knocked unconscious, killed, or the spell effect ends.


  1. Yes, I like having the choice.

    How about a lesser spell where you retain your form but draw upon your knowledge of the creature. Maybe from an animal worshipping setting/cult(animism ?). Maybe something like:

    Size of a Cow/Spirit Totem

    Caster exhibits a feature of a creature it has seen once (roll 1d6 on table below) or called upon before (pick one from table below). Caster calls on that spirit to cast but feature ceases if knocked unconscious, killed, or the spell effect ends.

    2 DX/Movement
    3 Damage
    4 One Special Ability
    5 All Special Abilities
    6 AR
