What is Heroes & Other Worlds?

Heroes & Other Worlds is a game of adventure inspired by Metagaming's classic Melee/Wizard/TFT system combined with inspiration from the Moldvay edited basic game. The rules are easy to learn and use standard six sided dice. The system is simple, sensible and flexible in the spirit of classic role playing games from the early 80's. Become a Hero, Other Worlds await!

  2. I'm sorry for posting a rules question here, but I didn't know where else to ask. If I have a PC/NPC who wants to use either fencing or two-handed fighting, do they first need to buy the weapon skill? Or does fencing and two-handed fighting give you that? So if I want the classic sword/dagger fighter, do I need to buy dagger, sword, and two handed fighting?

    1. Hey no reason to apologize!

In a nutshell you have to have weapons skills first before having 2 handed fighting.

So you would need to have sword or fencing skill and dagger skill...and then add 2 handed fighting.

  3. No, that's another kind of weapon - fencing relates to sabre, rapier.

    1. Correct! Fencing deals specifically with using a sabre, rapier or foil so no need to take sword and fencing. But Fencing only applies to Sabre, rapier foil...
